The Plum Tree 2026
Abstracted florals are a major source of inspiration in my studio practice. I am painting this sensation that lies somewhere between places, moments, & feelings. It is indescribable, therefore it gets put on the canvas. The painting is held in a thrifted frame, adding an inherited past that is unaware to the artist and the viewer, a mysterious history, reborn for a new purpose and story.
Something that always reminds me of summer is when we start buying plums. After a swim or drive, I would find my dad in the fridge looking for plums. We need to plant a plum tree.

✦ Abstract Expressionist work full of emotion and wonder. Oil and mixed media on stretched canvas.
